    BFI Performance Snub Mount

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!

We are proud to announce our new BFI Performance Snub Mount! After a lengthy design, testing and production process, we are finally able to offer the best snub mount available to B6 / B7 Audi owners.

The factory snub mount is a well known weak point of the engine isolation system in your B6 or B7 chassis Audi. Made of a soft foam rubber, the OE piece is great for initial comfort, but lacking in longevity and performance. The factory rubber snub mount is notorious for cracking failing causing those mysterious and annoying clunking sounds coming from your drivetrain.

    http://store.blackforestindustries.c...aub6b7pes.html

Our Performance Snub Mount is constructed of noticeably stiffer polyurethane (75a) vs. the factory rubber mount. Our parts are designed to stand up to the abuse of hard or even just spirited street driving. Reduce your engine movement and improve shifting with this economical upgrade!

Available now at a special introductory price – Pick yours up today!

Also, stiffen things up even further with Factory replacement or aftermarket RS4 mounts! The hardest durometer rubber available, these will further help to reduce engine and drivetrain movement:

When I first saw that it was green, I thought “environmentally friendly”? …but then I see your company logo is green…

And you have good prices on G12 coolant…good stuff.

Good looking website. One question though, how do these compare to say the Apikol Snub Mount or the APR Engine Snub Mount. Is your product stiffer/ less stiff then these two? Just trying to get an idea if one is considered a track compound while the other is a street compound and how yours fits in. Or are they all pretty much the same thing? Thank you in advance.

Ive looked and cant find that info (though I haven't contacted any of the company's so it cant be said i tried too hard). All I've found is an old thread saying Apikol>APR because the APR ones tended to split. to be fair to APR though I didnt see any pictures of any split (again didnt look that hard). Just seeing if BFI had any insight.

Good to know, Thanks for the input.

I would still like to track down some hard info as to which are stiffer/softer. Maybe ill just order a few and do some test and get the info out. I know its a small thing over all, but nice info to have none the less.

I've read numerous times that all snubs are made by the same manufacture which is Apikol. The APR ones that had issues were not polyurathayne-something cheaper. Squiddy pointed out in another thread that polyurathayne does not crumble like the APR ones seem to do. My APIKOL I'd as hard as a rock. If you really want to firm things up, get motor mounts and a trans mount

Can we end this useless bump? I swear BFI has deleted there "last" post just to make the same post again so the thread is bumped to the top. Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems like it's always in the "recent" threads with no new info. . .

Lol, yeah this thing gets bumped daily. I like when manufactures post some bullshit like "all PM's replied" or "keep the orders coming guys". Really, they don't have any PM's or orders, they just us that as a clever bumpin method.

I think daily bumping is one of the perks you get when you give ur moniez to teh zine

Yes, BFI is a paid advertiser on Audizine. They are offering up a product to Audizine members, just like JHM, APR, VMR, Rotiform, or any other vendor that is around here. BFI also has the right to post up their new products and specials. BFI, like all our vendors, and you as members for that matter, has to conform to certain rules and regulations regarding how they advertise. BFI is within their rights to bump their threads at certain intervals. Should BFI, or any other vendors abuse those rights, we as moderators will deal with them.

As members, you don't have to comment on every group, post, or advertisement you like/dislike. Don't click on the thread. Ignore the user with your profile features, or comment at your own risk.

I ask that you not derail this advertiser's thread - or any of the other advertisers. Doing so could result in a warning/infraction.

I don't have a problem with the vendor or the thread, but i keep clicking on it thinking there are new posts and I am actually wondering if I am going crazy or if the vendor is really just deleting their old post just to make the same post again so that the thread is at the top. New info is great, new specials even better, same post repeated errmm. . . not so much imo. That's all, may the mod force be with you, signing out.

Because it seems some people have forgotten, I'll re-post what I already have said about BFI.
