Sorry to create another spring thread, but i'm having trouble choosing. I've been searching and looking at pictures for weeks now and i really can't decide which to get. Eibach Sportlines advertise a 1.8" F and 1.2" R drop while H&R Sport Springs advertise a 1.5" F/R drop. Below are pictures and both drops look to be pretty similar with even wheel gap front and back. I will be getting 19" wheels soon and was hoping to pick the spring setup that will get me closest to zero wheel gap all around.
My friend had H&R springs on his STi and the ride was bouncy (spring rate picked didn't pair very well with the oem shock). My brother has Eibach Pro Kits on his Maxima paired with KYB GR2 shocks and it feels a little soft but comfortable overall. I also had Ground Control 400# springs (made by Eibach) front and rear paired with Koni shocks on my SE-R which i LOVED and felt perfect.
I realize either option i choose isn't going to improve handling much (if at all) and will be mostly cosmetic. I'm just hoping to pick the spring that has a better spring rate to be paired with the oem shock (non-sport). I don't want a bouncy ride and was hoping to get a setup that feels similar to stock. Since i live in NJ and drive out to NY occassionally, i didn't want something too aggressive. Coilovers will probably follow in the future after my stock shocks blow or when the auto-x bug starts to itch again. I just wanted to toss some springs on for now since they are cheap.
After sifting through dozens of threads, below are the most clear pics i could find which accurately show what the drop looks like with each spring. Please give me your comments if you own either of these setups with OEM non-sport shocks, please.
Thanks in advance for feedback and pictures
