Anyone Roll Their Fenders on an a5/s5? New 10.5" x 4 Vossen CV3 wheels on, and ...

the fronts are rubbing. I'd like to stay this low, but I might need to raise it up a bit [luckily I have coilovers]. I just lowered the damn thing more the other day, too. I think I'd have enough clearance if the fender lip were rolled, but it doesn't seem that anyone on this forum (or the other ones) has done it on the a5/s5.

It's also likely a result of going with 285/30/20 tires, but the ride is still so nice with them and the H&R coilovers even this low.

Car's dirty--and this is an iPhone photo--but I have a Vossen photoshoot scheduled this weekend, so better ones are on the way. Stay tuned.

not much to roll on our fenders, maybe a couple of mm. not sure if that would have any effect on your problem. pulling the fenders might be an option, but a much less expensive fix might be raising the coils just slightly. i'm running 20x10's f/r with very aggressive offsets and 295 tires with no rubbing issues at 1" drop on eibach oe springs.

Re: how "our fenders come rolled," by my estimation there are still maybe upwards of 5mms left in there to be gained by additional work (e.g., pushing the inside edge out). That, and that fender liner sort of hangs down.

Our fenders come mostly rolled but the front fenders can be rolled a little bit more.

Not sure where you're at in SoCal, but there are plenty of competent shops down there to roll your fenders properly.

Thanks. I live in Laguna Beach, work in Orange (near Anaheim). SupremePower installed the coilovers, and they've been good to me. They even loan this thing out while the car is being worked on!:

Did you ask SPP if they can roll your front fenders? If not, The Wheel Supply is in Orange and I'm sure they would do a great job.

There really is no downside. I always have my fenders rolled and never had an issue. Just make sure the shop is reputable and don't go with the lowest bidder on something like this.

this is exactly what I was afraid of going with 10.5 all around... probably should have stretched tire a little bit to clear fender.

Sorry guys I've never mentioned it but yeah my fronts are rolled. It made a world of difference! I gained .5 inches about and no more rubbing. AMS Autowerks did it within an hour. Came out amazing, heated it up and used a hammer. (yes I was nervous) LOL I'll post pics Sunday night since I'm away for the weekend. On top of that I need spacers since the Brembos are too big for the DPE.

You got brembo BBK? Can't wait to see them on! Your car is going to be epic! What color did you get the BBK in?

Glad to hear you aren't rubbing anymore....I recently did an alignment after I got my Stern adjustable control arms and am now rubbing in the front when I didn't before. I'm hoping a fender roll will help out in this as I really don't want to raise my car.

Chi, I'm planning on a bbk at some point in the future too and have the same wheels you have. Which bbk do you have and what size spacers are you running? Worried about putting non hubcentic ones in the front and getting shimmy shake in my steering.
