If I get Audi to install the reverse sensors will they protude out? for rear reverse sensors.

If you go to Audi, they will use an aftermarket kit from someone like Cobra. It's unlikely they're willing to retrofit the OEM sensors this thread is about.

Thanks I have an aftermarket rear camera but no sensors. If this works it would be cool to have both front and rear camera/sensors.

Hi Guys,

Thinking to do this retrofit. Front+Rear Audi Parking System Plus with graphics but no camera. My car has no sensors at all.

I believe for the rear, there are markings of where the sensors are supposed to go inside the rear bumper.

How about the front bumper? Are there markings of where the sensors are supposed to go?

Also where in the grill do we place the 2 front sensors? Are they marked? Do they retrofit kit comes with brackets?

I have an Audi A4 B8 2009 model (Sedan).

HY ;) I have same car and im about to retrofit MMI 3g + front PDC + rear cam ;) So basicly what i can tell you - front bumper and rear has marked position of hole for pdc sensor (you need to drill it and position bracket in the kit on back side). Retrofit kit from carsystems or Kufatec dont provide you with front bumper grill sensor bracket (left (1) - 8K0919268A and right (1) - 8K0919267A --- thease are OK for normal grill NOT S4) -> but other stuff is in the kit. This is from my frend experiance of retrofiting front PDC in his car - he also encourage me, to do same process ;)

Ok thanks. How about oem kit directly from Audi? Will it have the brackets? How do we attach the brackets on the grill?

Once again, you CANNOT get an "OEM kit" from Audi. They do not have an SWM code in their system for adding parking sensors, so they sell the Cobra aftermarket kit as an option. You can order all the parts separately apart from some of the wiring looms, but it'll cost you $$$$. I would suggest you get the kit from navisystem.pl or Kufatec.de.

What is the part number for the front sensors brackets for the grill? Are they available only in 1 colour the brackets?

Hi.

I have done this retrofit on my A4 B8. I got everything working fine except that i cant turn it on/off via the button. The button lights up when car is put in R.

Any ideas?

I would personally check the pin numbers to the button and pin numbers in the rear module, i think that is all it can be.

at the rear module it should be pin 13 and pin 4 in to the beige connector

at the switch it should be Pin 1 and Pin 3

If you used the Kufatec wiring loom it will have the wire numbers on the wires (even though they hard to read) if you have used the Kufatech english instructions these are incorrect they will tell you to use pins 13 and 14 in the beige connector when it should actually be 13 and 4.

If everything else is working i would suspect this is the issue

Can anyone post real PICTURE of front pdc buzzer position... I realy tray to find where is originaly mounted but i did not find any clear pictures (i know it shoud be somwere under the dash)... So please i hope someone can post some pictures where it is and how to install it there ;)

Bump, I have a 3G+ (google maps) retrofit in my b8 s4, I can get the display to come up with coding, the sensors reflect the distance in reverse, but the display switches out of the sensor/reverse camera within a few seconds of shifting into reverse.

Any thoughts on getting this to stay on? Or is this the limitation folks are talking about with the module? The modules don't complain of any errors. It's just that the rear view camera doesn't stay on in reverse. Disabling the view restores function to the reverse camera.

can anybody help with radio mute.
with my old 4 rear sensors and still with front and rear sensors the radio still doesnt mute or lower when in reverse.
