    Socket size for lug bolts?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I searched but couldn't find the actual socket size.
The bolt, as far as I know, is an M14. What size socket do I need?

Background info: I'm planning on buying this torque wrench and wanted to see what socket to order along. I'm using the standard (S-Line) 19" wheels.

17mm is stock. Some of the aftermarket bolts you can get are 19mm (same as 3/4")

I use an impact wrench socket (thicker walls) on stock S5 and the stock 18 wheels and it fits w/o a problem.

'course if you're as anal as I am, you use a plastic sleeved socket. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...o?code=FROOGLE ;)

I also lug by hand and torque (never an impact wrench).
