    Hey guys,

I am planning on plasti dipping my grill and have been told to sand the parts I am painting. But how much do I have to sand? And if you know which sandpaper is best, I would really appreciate it. Pics will surely follow when I am done. Thanks alot!

If you're plastidipping, no reason to scuff your mint grille. Just clean it with some rubbing alcohol, wipe it down and spray it.

yea no need for sanding especially since it's temporary. I need to redo my rear valence though cause its pealing, but this time i might actually use spray paint. good luck though

thanks! why is it peeling? too much heat from the exhaust? or just wear and tear?

I did mine, no need to rough it up. Just wash and DRY WELL, isopropyl alcohol, and start slow and apply as many coats as you need until youre happy with it and its got an even solid coat. I did mine, this shit works well.

I usually run 1000 grit the 3M rubbing compound (1500 or above) then primer over metals or just spray on plastics.

I'm pretty sure its just wear and tear, but I would recommend 4 layers if you don't want to end up like me.
