I have the magnaflow catback on the car and I got it cuz of the sound and the great price. When it heats up after like half hour of driving it just sounds amazing. It gets louder and the rasp that's there when cold isn't there anymore. I hate rasp and a few of the more expensive systems out there have it. I'm sure more of u have noticed this. Just wanted to share my happiness lol

I wanted to get a Magnaflow for my b6S4 but I didn't think it was loud enough... no rasp is definitely a plus though. The price is also great.

Absolutely sounds better once the car reaches oper temps! The metal/materials etc have a chance to expand and the true sound can finally come to life. This holds true on every vehicle I own; quad, sport bikes, cars, snowblower :) etc. Hell, even the nitro R/C trucks/cars I own sound better when they are warmed up lol.

I didn't really hear the rasp from the exhaust but a bit of drone...overall, I'm very happy with my decision.

The shop who installed my exhaust told me by adding downpipes/piggies may make the exhaust sound raspy...not sure if this is true. I would like to add the downpipes/piggies but I'm not sure how much louder my exhaust will get. I think it's pretty loud now.

I think mine is the different one here...I actually like it's sound better when it's cold. And no, I don't gun it when the motor has not had the chance to properly warm up. I'll sometimes briefly give a quick blurp of the throttle after about 40 seconds to a minute after starting it in the morning just for the tach to hit somewhere in the 3-4000 rpm range and it actually sounds fuller with a bit of subtle backfire. The throttle pedal is way more responsive than when it's already warmed up too.

Totally normal. Most exhausts sound raspy or tinny when cold, esp if the resonators are small (or not there).

Yea on my twinturbo Z its raspy all the time. But I have straight pipe from turbos to mufflers. Only a little rasp when the muffler warms up though

Yeah I agree. The ECU is still engaged in that warm up mode which prolly makes the fuel mixture a bit more rich and therefore - more combustible(?). But anyways, when the motor is hot (driven throughout the day), then I'll jab the pedal quickly, I don't quite like what I hear - its more like the engine sounds "lazy" if that makes any sense. Instead of that quick, sharp, snappy response (bark) when cold, all I get is a "howl". lol. I think thats the best way I can put it. lol...

That will at least give you an idea what no mufflers sounds like.
