Yea, I would probably find myself going much faster if not for the digital speedo

You need a digital speedo to stop you doing 80 in a 45? If you couldn't tell then you need more assistance than a digital speedo.

For those in the US, can you change your speed/distance settings from miles and mph to kilometres and km/h?

Certainly, I did that a couple time for fun since I'm originally from a country where people use km/hr but I don't do that anymore because looking at km/hr while cruising along in US is somewhat confusing.

I've always had issues reading our speedos right as well. I love the digital speedo. I'm used to looking at 11 o'clock on the speedo for 45-50mph in previous cars.. now you gotta look at 8-9 o'clock for that speed. What screen does everybody else keep their center console at?

No digital speed for me while NAV is active. I just get turn-by-turn in the center gauge. Can this be changed via VAGCOM?

For speedo while using gps... Hit the same reset button 4 times and it should work. This drove me crazy until someone posted how to get back to the speedometer.

Here (European B8 MY2009) when NAV is on, i need to press the reset tab once and it will jump to the speedo. The turn-by-turn display is cool and handy but i prefure my digital speedo, couldn't ride without it (so much easier and saver to view then analoge one)!

*And still i would love that someone would hack the display so you can display what/where you want. It should be doable but....

EDIT: Afair you need to press the tab pretty fast after the NAV starts, then 1 press should normally bring up the speedo. If you wait too long, you will indeed need to toggle.

I'm a little different on this one....my center dash display is set to Lap Timer, so I can see the oil temp.
