Bentley Mulliner Wheels on A3 - tire sizes?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey all, I'm getting a set of 19" bentley mulliner wheels for my 2010 A3 and was wondering what size tires anyone with experience would recommend? I know there are a few ex-vdubbers on here that may know the answer (MKV R32 owners i'm looking in your direction ). Eibach is also giving me a set of springs (haven't decided which version)... Any suggestions are appreciated.

    They're 19x9 et43 right?

If so, probably around a 225/35 I would think. Really depends on the look you want though.

    This is a 235/35/19 on a 19x9

    They are 19x9 and et41 I beleive.
225/35 sounds about right. I wouldn't want to go smaller than 30 on the sidewall that's for sure. I will see if I can get more info.

    Hi Mo

Like JEmm was saying, it all depends on whether you want to stretch or not. If you want the kind of look I had with my CKs, then you could probably do the 235/35. Mine was a 225/35 on an 8". The type of tire you go with will determine how the fitment looks on the wheel also. For example, my Nitto looks like it stretches more than Leslie's Falken (225/35 on an 8" as well)

One thing is for sure: you will rub just like we all do. Go to audisportnet on rims thread. Those "chaps" run more bentleys than anyone I know

thanks for all the help guys, yeah i totally understand the rub factor with these. it's gonna happen..."if you ain't rubbin' you ain't dubbin" i suppose. personally i'm not big on the stretched tires look but we'll see what happens. Also, I haven't seen or found an A3 with these wheels on it. If anyone has a pic post it up! :)

Nice! Thanks Jason! If I could, I'd give you those "cool points" we used to have on here.
SO I'll give you a high five and a hug next time I see you.
