I guess I'll start. Don't really have much for performance mods in there but I at least like to keep it looking a bit snazzy.

I know some of you folks have some good ones to offer, so lets see em'.

It's all about maintenance... After every carwash I pop the hood and give it a wipe down...

I don't know how you keep it that clean, mine gets cleaned every time I clean my car about 2-3 times per month for the body and 4-5 times inside.

I'm with the others. I clean mine every time I wash my car (about once a week), and it looks NO where near that clean.

My engine bay is too dirty to be up here :O

Sounds pretty hypeee. I wouldn't mind having animals living in mine, would just put it in my gf room with the others... haha!

so from what i have researched, when cleaning an engine bay, you can get the engine pretty wet minus, the alternator, and the coil packs correct?

if so, how you guys clean the area around the coils so well? and what do you use to make your hoses shine like they do?

I clean the bay with CRC super degreaser, CRC Engine Bay Cleaner, and armorall the entire plastics. I hose the ENTIRE engine bay down in the degreasers and wash then ENTIRE thing thoroughly. My engines have never looked cleaner.

Also all manufactures have designed the motors to be able to withstand a good soaking. The entire motor is sealed minus the intake there is nothing to worry about. I also do this when the engine is warm not hot so it dries fairly quickly.

My car doesn't ever see rain, so keeping the engine bay clean really isn't that difficult. But I still wipe everything down maybe every 3rd time I wash the car, engine bay, door sills, etc...

The coolant tank is such an eyesore. I'm surprised some of you more aesthetically anal people haven't found a relocation/billet solution to replace it.

I had it black in the past. But being brand new, I like it again
