Would it be better to buy a B6 A4 2005 or B7 A4 2005. the B6 was the first half of the year with the B7 the second half, right?

    Advantages/disadvantages if any?

I like the looks of the B7... but the engine of the B6. FSI sucks... burns oil, has carbon issues.

transmission is the same, chassis is the same, interior is virtually the same.

its all in what you want to do with the car.

    you are correct.

    basically it boils down to
    b6 looks better
    b7 performs better

Is the B6 more reliable vs. the B7?

I know the 2005 B6 A4 sells with the USP and that sound really great, I'm looking to buy a 6MT too. What are you guys' opinions on FSI vs. TFSI?

honestly i made the same decision a couple months ago. it was either a 05 b6 usp or a baseline b7. clearly i picked the b6 :) imo the b6 looks way better but it wouldnt hurt to have that 2.0

Honestly I would stay away from anything with direct injection (B7) currently.

Very true, but nothing a few mods can't fix.

A B7 without the split differential is just a B6 with a fishmouth front............and carbon buildup

    '05 USP FTW!!!
