    19 inch B8 A5 Rims on a B8 A4 non S-Line?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey guys,

I am looking at putting some 19" A5 S-line rims on my B8 A4 premium plus without the s-line/sport package. I understand that the ET (offset) on the A5 rims is slightly less than that of the A4 - We are ET42ish and the A5 is ET32-ET35ish.

Has anyone put these rims on a non-sport/sline A4, and how did it look? Any rubbing or issues I should be aware of before I buy?

    Thanks!

Not sure if this will help, I'm running the a5 titanium wheels on my sport package a4. I'm not running into any issues with rubbing. One great think you will notice since the offset is different is the stance of your car afterwards you defanitly won't need spacers.

I have the exact wheels you're interested in, except that I had initially put them on when I had my sport pkg suspension (I've since installed H&R OE Sport springs). On a non-sport/S-line A4, your car will look like a monster truck.

Regardless, you should not have any rubbing issues w/ non-sport/S-line suspension, even if you buy the wheels w/ the stock 255/35/19 rubber on them. If you decide to lower your car later tho, I recommend wrapping them in 245/35/19 tires if you want to be rub-free.

I remember seeing a pic of a car w/ these wheels on stock suspension but I can't seem to find it. It looked 4x4 tho.

I have the exact set-up you are considering. I used H&R Sport Springs to lower the car. I wish I had gone with the H&R OE Sport as the Sport springs are a bit to low and stiff for my taste. I have never had any rubbing of any type at any time. I will post some pics later tonight. They are the exact same wheels in ItsDubC's profile picture.

hey itsdubc, do you have any close up pics of your car? im planning on going with the H&R OE springs and a set of S5 rims but im worried about clearance issues in the winter here. Your setup would be really similar to get an idea of the kinda drop i would have, so the pics would be appreciated.

This. 19s with a low profile tire will have a huge fender gap on standard suspension.

If anyone wants to buy my set I would give them a great deal. Mine have minor road rash on 2 of the wheels (thanks to my brother-in-law) and 70% tread left. They are not knock-offs...I got them off of an A5 brand new 1 year ago.

Non-S Line A4 b8 w/ S5 19" non-replica wheels (no rubbing no issues on stock suspension setup) I am going to be getting some coil overs shortly and I'll play around with the height and report a safe height with no rubs.

The fender gap will be the same as with 17's or 18's. No difference in tire height.

Q5 stock wheel sizes are 19x8 ET39 and 18x8 ET39. Same centerbore and bolt pattern as the A4/S4/A5/S5.

Those would fit fine. Obviously if they're take-offs and include tires, you'll have to ditch the tires as they're MUCH larger overall. (11.5%)

To those of you who have the 19" Y-shaped A5 wheels on your A4s.... You still liking them? Any issues over the past few months? I am pretty sure I'll buy a set for my white (non s-line) B8 Avant if the replies are positive!
    Thanks guys!

Check my build thread. I've been happy with them and they are more concave that I originally thought.
If you lower your ride then I suggest 245 tires like dubc said. There is also a 3-4 LB weight savings on continental 245 vs 255 tires.

You have got a very sweet ride my man. Not only do the wheels look great, but very good taste on all of the aesthetic touches as well! I do plan on lowering it with the Stasis Touring suspension kit, so 245s it is. How do you like the Stasis exhaust? Any annoying highway drone or other complaints?

Thanks! Yes I love the exhaust also.
There is definitely drone on the highway on the A/T.

You can apply the cheap fix from the thread below.
Cover up the holes and you should be good.

Hi! I just bought a stock 2013 A4 quattro and I want to upgrade to 18's or 19's wheels this summer. If I put 19's I will have to drop the car a bit ....and I was wondering if u have issues in the snow with lowering springs??? Any advice for me? Thanks
