Options for getting around ADS after installing coilovers

So it looks like I've made two poor decisions with my 2011 S4 purchase. 1) ADS 2) Lowering springs. While the ride isn't terrible it just doesn't feel right. Its harsher but doesn't feel more confident in corners and while it's lower is not low enough to be asthetically pleasing. So my corrective action is going to be to buy Stasis Ohlin SL coilovers and do it right...which is what I should have done the first time.

My hurdle now is the fact that the stupid ECU is going to look for those expensive OEM shocks. What is the BEST work around? I heard KW has a cancellation device for about $100/corner. I also heard you can simply turn it off via Vagcom? Has anyone done either of these and recommend a solution?

Also, while we're on the topic of the "wheel area" I was also thinking of getting a set of Forgestar F14s, the 19x9 weighs in at 24.7lbs...which isn't bad. I think the titanium polish will look great w/ the Quartz gray but does anyone have experience w/ the brand?

Fairly sure you can just "uncheck" the option through VCDS.

Exactly. There might be 2 places you uncheck it, but you can just set it so the ECU never turns on the sensors and therefore never knows it's not there to error.

So do I need to get a Vag-Com cable, software, etc?

Or you can find someone around you who has the cable and negotiate some sort of compensation to have them come out and do it. In NYC that can't be difficult.

Trick is the timing. I need to have someone around immediately after the install? Probably not realistic.

I have installed the PSS10 on mine about 2 weeks ago.
At first I've asked the shop if they could just turn off the suspension senser, they did it with the VC. When I adjusted the ADS, it only controlled the steering response and the throttle, but not the suspension. So we thought it would be okay to install the coilover without any fault code.
But after installing the coilover, it still gives the fault code. I am also looking into the KW device but it cost a bit too much I would say, yes $100 per corner.

The fault code would not affect the ride response, or it doesn't do anything. So I think you could get it done first and no need to worry about finding someone to VC your car.

RE: forgestars. Have them on my 2010 S4 and 2008 Porsche. No issues and excellent customer service.
