How to replace the dashboard cupholder?

The spring insert thingie broke out of my cupholder this weekend. How do you remove it from the dash? Cheapest place to buy one?

While on the subject of cupholders, the one in my rear arm rest sticks and required quite a hard poke to get it to come out ** easy fix for this?

B6 noob, be patient with me.

Make this an excuse to do the b7 console swap. The b6 pop-out cupholders are useless imo.

I would go the B7 route if you have the time and money but I just followed this DIY. Be careful if you need to reuse the face. I scratched up mine pretty good when my screwdriver slipped and had to get another cupholder from Joey.

eBay has a few of them also, just need to make sure you get one that matches the b6 (without the chrome strip)

eh.....just replace the dash cupholder for $15. I like the B7 center console but $15 beats $380 anyday, especially since if you buy the B7 center console you'll still have the broken dash cupholder

if you take any part of the dash apart, you should leave the cup holder broke.
