Is the intake air temperature sensor integrated in the mass airflow sensor or what? Tried searching, but I can't seem to find a definite answer. Please help...thanks.

    Does anyone know?

Some back story...I got a check engine light, car is misfiring, so I take it to a local shop and they say I need to replace coilpacks and MAF. Got all cp's replaced at the dealership (recall) and replaced the MAF I bought from JH Motorsports. I don't have a vag-com, so I unplugged the battery while changing the MAF. I drive for ~25 miles and a solid CEL comes back on. I stop by a local shop again and the only code I got was for the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (G42). Now, I'm not sure what I need to do. Where is the IAT? Is it part of the MAF? Is it the connections?

    I could use any suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Franky

Yes the IAT sensor is part of the MAF sensor. If you replaced the sensor and it is still thorwing a code, I would take a look at the wiring. It could also just be a defective part
