    Advanced measuring blocks

Just a quick question as I couldn't turn up any information via searching.

Can any of you get to 'Advanced Measuring Blocks' in VCDS. I have a Ross-Tech Hex+Can-USB interface and would love to make use of the advanced measuring blocks while tuning this turbo but it always seems greyed out. Was wondering if it was something I was doing or if it were maybe not available on k-line cars?

    Cheers..

Sent a bunch of data off to ross-tech.. They'll probably implement my ECU type into the next version.

    I got a response of

"You're not the first to ask for it but one of the problems we have is that we can only add so many at a time. A lot of customers do send stuff in and then we have to prioritize the requests. Yours was up on the list anyway, but we were missing the maps from these specific part numbers.
Having those makes the work much easier. :)"

    we run >> #8E0 909 518 AC - ECU in AU

The "Advanced Meas. Values" depend on having a label file for that module or not. In this case there is none, so that is why the function is disabled at the moment."

Theres no label file so the feature is disabled. The label files add pretty annotations to measuring blocks.

G-ride, what is your ECU VAG number 8E0 909 518 xx? What is your engine code.
More or less it should be almost same like AMB or AVJ engine.
you may insert a line like folowing into 8E-01.lbl file, so this line will redirect your ECU number to AMB or AVJ label file
    REDIRECT,06B-909-518-AMB.LBL,8E0-909-518-AL ; BFB (8E)
    REDIRECT,06B-906-018-AVJ.LBL,8E0-909-518-AL ; BFB (8E)

    hope this will help you.

I was thinking something along the lines of this. I started renaming label files etc but nothing happened. I'll tweak the 8E-01.lbl now..

Car runs an 8E0 909 518AC ECU with a BFB block.

BFB engine (here in Europe rated at 163PS) is verry similar to AMB, so use 06B-909-518-AMB.LBL file (first row).
