    Bleeding cooling system

Tried search but could not find details on how to bleed air from the cooling system. If anyone has tips, please let me know. It is not completely empty, but I had an aux water pump leak. Thanks.

You should be able to run the car after filling up the coolant bottle, and it should circulate itself.
Turn the car on, high heat, full fan, with the cap off the reservoir and just keep adding mixture. As it draws more fluid down make sure you keep filling the bottle up.
Squeezing the hoses should move any air out of stuck spots.

Once the fluid seems to level off and doesn't take anymore, put the cap on and continue to let the car warm up. The system is designed in such a way that the air should end up in the bottle, and the fluid should end up in the system.

There is also a bleeder screw in front of the TBB I believe it's a 5mm. Just back that out a bit and the air will bleed out there once coolant comes out tighten back up. Or you could also use the heater core bleeder, if I remember correct it's on the left hose slide it back and you'll see a little hole. Air will come out there and when coolant comes up slide the hose back up and top off the coolant tank and you're good to go.

The problem with our cars is that the heater core is the highest point in the system, so air will always get trapped there.

On one of the hoses to the core (I believe the passenger side one) there is a hole in the neck that is there for final bleeding. That is the only way to get rid of all the air in the system.

The one on the heater core you just pull the hose back until you see a small hole in the pipe. Obviously you'll want the car running so coolant is circulating and when the whole starts pissing just slide it up to cover and top off the coolant if need be.

wow thats a little sketchy trying to pull those hoses off part way isn't it?
i know after you take the clamp off, you go to pull it and it seems to just come all at once and slide off, at which point you'd just be pissing hot coolant out.

No.. You are not pulling the hose partly off. The pipe it attaches to has a small hole in it. You simply slide it back a little to expose the hole.

Said hole is on the passenger side hose

This... If the hose is on there real tight and not wanting to move get a pair of pliers and grab it lightly and twist it to break it free then slide it back to expose the hole so the system can bleed.
