    Hello guys.

I have a 2002 b6 1.8T FWD, I keep getting the centre brake light warning light coming up on my dash but the centre brake light is working.

The fault will go away for a few days then it keeps coming back, anybody seen a fault like this before ?

    thanks in advance,

That's what my avant was doing, not sure how similar the light is with the sedan. Shortly after I noticed 3 LED's were out. Cost $100 including labor to get a new one at the dealer. Its been fine ever since.

i have the same issue, had it for a couple years now, still havent fixed it. Sometimes it comes on right when i hit the brake, sometimes not at all. But it works, thats all i know. Maybe ill check to see if any of the individual LEDs are out.

I had the same issue as well, my plug was just loose. I had my trunk liner off already and reattached it back in.
