    Coolant Reservoir continues to pump out coolant from the bottom valve?

    I have been leaking coolant from the bottom of the coolant reservoir valve for a while so I replaced the reservoir and the cap. After about a week or so, it starts pumping coolant out of the bottom again. New cap, new reservoir and all, why would my car continue to push coolant out of the tank?

    I'm quite tired of this car.

    You have air in the system. Bleed it from the hard coolant pipe that goes over the intake manifold.

    Start the car and let it warm up. Then crack the bleeder screw. Let it bleed until coolant starts to come out of it. Close it for a minute. Reopen and do it again and again until its bleed.

    That should be it... if you put all of those new items then that is your only issue left. When you swapped everything out did you bleed the system at all?

    Air bubbles will build up and then all the coolant will rush to the reservoir and then dump out the bottom from pressure.

    The only bleeding was done on the firewall at the heater core ports.

    If it were headgasket it would be spitting out like crazy with the cap off..

    I used these head bolts: http://www.034motorsport.com/engine-...m-p-18097.html ARP 2000 10mm but I have an AEB head. Did I use the wrong head bolts?

    Edit: The seemed to go in and tighen up to the specified torque with out problem. I hope its not a head gasket :(

    You don't say, but since the engine in not overheating when this happens, it's likely the head gasket is leaking combustion gasses into the cooling system. You can confirm by getting a coolant sample then send the sample to an oil analysis lab for testing the sample for combustion products dissolved in the coolant.

    There is no valve in the bottom of the expansion tank. When the cap opens to relieve overpressure, the flow path is out through the passage in the tank exiting at the bottom.

    Hmm if my head gasket was leaking, wouldnt my car be smoking a bit?

    Maybe or maybe not, depending on when the leak happens. For example, the potential leak may not occur until higher cylinder pressures exist at high loads. It is not expensive, and is very helpful to have a dissolved gas analysis result for the coolant, before taking the engine apart on speculation.
