or Setup and CAR or Menu and Car if on Plus system

Hold then simultaneously down for about 5 sec.

If it dowsn't work please post a photo of your MMI buttons.

Yeah you are right...it’s from an older model

This should be the buttons to use on a FL model - but the naming can vary because there are two versions of the MMI.

I have OBDEleven and it's not worth the money I paid for it, going to stump up for VCDS eventually.

I have an obdeleven, It has been great so far. I was able to access the secret menu on my Q5 right away, just can't seem to get to it on the S4.

I also mean pushing then at the same time - on older MMI’s it was possible to push one button and then push the other, but this doesn’t work on the MMI you have.

The trick is to press the top parts of the button, where the flat spots are. You have done an MMI reset after enabling, right?

I have tried pressing the menu and car button at the same time a few times now, including holding them for a while. Still nothing. Could it be a different button combination for me?

Nope. It's either not enabled correctly or you haven't restarted the MMI.

I apologize if this was answered elsewhere but I wanted to understand if there was any benefit to be had from tweaking ADS settings on a 6MT car that doesn't have the sport diff. The below post is the only thing I found and it was just another person asking the question. I didn't see any response back though.

Does anyone know if there is a code to enable turning on fog lights when car is off? It seems that no matter what light setting I am on while car is off, fog lights do not turn on. Or, when I have the parking lights on with fogs and turn car off, the parking lights stay on but fogs turn off.

Do you have coming home/leaving home? I have fogs set to come on with drl and the fogs come on as part of the coming home/leaving home feature.

Yes i have that but i believe it only happens when it is dark out. I want to be able to turn on the fog lights when the car is off, similar to how you can turn on headlights and parking lights while car is off.

Not only fog lights. I just want to be able to turn fog lights on when the car is off, whether it is with the parking lights or headlights. Much like i can turn on headlights or parking lights when car is off.

I think you can code out the side assist, would make sense if you were retrofitting. Unsure of all the locations where it pops up though.

Thanks. So basically I came across some side mirrors that I wanted. The side mirrors are without side assist. My car is equipped with side assist.

I never use side assist as I find it more of a distraction so I turn it off anyway. I figure I could just detach that side assist module (I assume it just unplugs?) And then install the new side mirrors. Any idea if this will leave a code on dash? If so can this be permanently cleared?

I added the battery meter function with OBDeleven ,but it wiped out all the other menu items on the CAR button. Is this normal? It seems to only want to add one change at a time?

I have a B8.5 and battery meter work perfectly. On B8.5 it only works on Audi concert not on MMi.
