I don't think it is as simple as adding AFS lights and coding in VAGCOM. IIRC There are additional sensors in the car that communicate to determine the movement of the lights (steering angle, rear ride height, on-coming traffic sensor etc).

Correct I believe you need to have AFS pre-facelift to go to facelift AFS with LED

fyi, I just received a Facelift led with AFS in the mail today. Waiting to score the other side on ebay again.

Noticethe large gear/motor in the middle for afs.

btw, these headlights are huge once they're out of the car. lol. That island is 3ft wide and the light almost goes covers it.

I'm not sure if I ever had AFS to be honest since I've never noticed anything special while driving. The question comes up for when when I start my car I get all sorts of warning dings, since the wheel sensor in the front right is bad, and one of the alerts is for "headlight rage control defective" so I'm assuming that I have some sort of motor that can change the angle of the light.

all xenon cars came with auto leveling I think... so that must be what that's related to.
I think you can throw your Vin in a search bar and find out what options your car has but I forgot the website that shows all that info.

No doubt that would be a coolest option, it's just not in my cards.
I bought a facelift light and gave it apart right now.
