Hey Audiziners,
I first want to start by thanking everyone belonging to this community who has enabled so many of my small problems in the past to be fixed. However, I have looked all over the place for assistance with a problem that I seem to be having with my fuel line. I took my A4 to the Audi dealership and they told me it is the fuel pressure regulator. Basically what is happening is every time I turn on the car it emits a whining sound as if the Fuel pump is not operating at its optimum output. I feel no change in performance and I think that the Pressure Regulator has malfunctioned and is now causing this high pitched noise. Has anyone else experienced this problem? The real problem now is that I cannot locate the FPR and everyone says it is near the firewall and I do not see it! Furthermore, when I look up the part to replace it 2004 seems to be a gap year between 2003 and 2005... whats the deal with that? Is the 2003 FPR the same as the 2004? I assume it is but I wanted to locate it and look at it before I purchases it online versus buying it from the dealer. Please if anyone can help me locate it or provide me with a picture because the ones currently online are not helpful I would greatly appreciate it. THANK YOU.
