Probably the oil temp sender since they go out pretty frequently. Get a factory replacement (not aftermarket since they don't usually work). Replace it when you change your oil as it's in the bottom of the pan.

Like was said above, temp sender. Also, to repeat, only the OEM one works on these cars, the aftermarket ones don't work for some reason, so don't waste your time/money trying to get the cheap version.

It's right in the bottom of the oil pan. You can't miss it. Part number 1J0907660B, between 60 and 90 dollars depending on where you go. Shop it around.

Do you have the yellow oil light with "SENSOR" on your center display? As said, you need the OEM replacement. You have to drain the oil to change the sensor.

Yep, drain the oil, unplug, remove 3 10mm bolts and reverse to install the new one, it takes about 10 minutes on top of the oil change.

Not all the cars will tell you your sensor is out the way yours does. If yours is on the fritz like mine was before replacing it, I noticed it would be cold for a good 10-15 minutes, then one day I caught it literally just shoot up to 200. I was like WOW - that's some insane temperature change. Then I changed it, then life was better.

OP - For the love of God do NOT cheap out and get another brand. Get the one that was linked above from JHM. You need OEM Hella.
