Differences between the 2007 & 2008 A4 S-line/S-line sports package (I searched!)

Ok, I'm looking for a B7 with the full s-line sports package. I know that all the 2008s came with the s-line appearance package, but what I want to know is are there any differences between a 2007 s-line and a 2008 with the full s-line package. So far I've heard some mention about the 08s having less issues with the cam lobe wear/cam follower etc is there anything else I should know? I promise I searched, just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Thanx in advance!

No difference on the full S-Line package. Cam problems have not been narrowed down to a particular year, anything stated on the forums stating differently is speculation.

Ive read about a newer CAM that was issued to "supposedly" help this problem but i dont have the part number on hand.

Was this installed on the 08 A4 S-lines?

As far as I know it was changed in the 08.

When I was looking for mine... I saw a LOT more 2008's without power passenger seats, then in 2007. But that might just be around this area. I don't think there was much more differences between 2007 and 2008.

Yeah... the one I picked, has Navi, HID's Auto wipers, lights... everything but the wood shifter, and steering wheel.

To the OP, I memory seats weren't an option in 2008 unless you get an Avant, or V6, not sure about 2007. With memory seats came the dipping passenger mirror (or maybe it was an additional option).

I have an 08 avant and was told there were no memory seats unless S4? I could be wrong.

You could be right. But for sure the 3.2 had it as an option.

what level HIDs do you have? my S-line already had the convenience package already with the BI-Xenon adaptive headlights but i need HID in my life once again..

2007 S-Line has the seats, body pieces etc

2008 Has the S-Line body.

2008 S-Line has the seats, plus body

what about the sports suspension.
It seems to me I recall something about how newer b7 s-lines may not have the sports suspension automatically but older ones (maybe just 06s) definitely were lower if badged s-line???? Maybe I'm wrong.
Also s-line three point SW???
Mine's an '06 s-line so both driver's seat and passenger seat are power but no memory, and came w/out bixenons.

I got an 08 a4 s-line badge - def sits lower than a normal a4, xenon, auto wipers, power seats, nav, heated seats, wood trim, molded spoiler to deck lid, auto collapseable sideview mirrors (cant really think of anything else)..... no 3 prong steering wheel nor memory seats

All 2008's have an upgraded/second gen. cam shaft. Specifically, the cam lobe is harder. I had to get my 07 cam shaft changed out for the 08 a few months ago due to extensive degeneration. Just for the record the cam shaft is the same whether S-Line or not.

Also, it is a fact that 07's are faster than 08's.

By HID's I meant Bi-xenon adaptive headlights... I really wish I had memory seats, not so much for the seats, but for the dipping passenger mirror, for parking.
