I did a bit of research on this recently. Here's the options for "good" batteries for us. Carquest and NAPA are both good values and actually offer performance above OEM. If you have an 'extreme' application, look at the East Penn AGM I listed below.

I'm all about OEM parts, but with the POS OEM battery dieing for me at 2.5 years and 27k miles, I chose to grab a Johnson Controls battery(Advance). It can't be worse.
