CEL, EPC and ESP OFF after I unpluged the throttle position sensor. Heeeelp

I foolishly (don't know why) unplugged the throttle position sensor (i think that's the name - the sensor thingy on the throttle body) while the car was running.I imediatelly plugged it back in because the engine started sounding rough... Turned the car off, and then on - EPC, CEL and ESP off lights still remain.
The start-up is now a little weird, the revs go up and imediattely go down and then the idle seems normal.
I also think the car is in limp mode because I reved it in idle and there was no 'pop' on the exhaust at 5000ish revs.

I can't take it for a drive for a few more hours so I'm not sure if it IS in limp mode.

    Any thoughts?

    Stop touching what's ain't broken !!!
    Try this

    1. Turn ignition on, but don't start the engine.
    2. Step on the gas and hold the pedal to the floor for 5 secs
    3. Turn the ignition off but don't remove the key, release the gas pedal
    4. Wait for about 2 mins
    5. Done.

that's the TB allignment myth.. I tried it even though I recently read it doesn't work :D Only way to allign the TB is by Vag-com.
Anyway, I just disconnected the battery, waited 15 minutes... all the lights are off except the ESP (i think it'll go away). Idled rough for a few minutes with misfires, now sounds better.

And I only 'touched what's not broken' because I recently got a cel about a faulty n80 valve and a few others...and I honestly had no clue that you shoulnd't disconnect the throttle positio sensor when the car is running :fail:

please do not open your hood. bring to a shop. that is you actual throttle body you unplugged. not just the sensor. you do not have a throttle cable like a 72 mustang. it not has to be cleared and the throttle adapted.. why the hell would you just unplug that when running? especialy while running....

cause I didn't know it was the TPS :/ Fail on my side. But I know enough to 'assume' (assumption -the mother of all fcuk ups) that it's not supposed to be dangerous to the engine. It's not like I unpluged the camshaft sensor mid-driving or something :D

anyhow, it's all better now, no cels or anything.
tnx for the input though ;)
