Dome Lights, and Vanity Mirror Lights are not working...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
After my accident, I'm finally putting my car back together and I'm not sure how to go about tackling the issue of my dome lights not working. The body shop guys had to partially remove the front of the headliner to fix the damages, but I dont remember if the lights worked before I dropped them off. Is there a fuse for that anywhere? I'd rather not try to figure out how to take the headliner off if it's something simple, but its the front dome lights, mirror lights - when you slide open the mirror, and rear reading lights. None of them are working and I've checked the connections on the dome lights and they all plugged in. Strangely enough, the sunroof switch works fine.

    Help?

So update to my problem that is frustrating the heck out of me. I checked all the plugs going into the vanity mirror lights, main front lights, back lights, and trunk light and they're all firmy plugged in. The thing that is absurd is when I turn on my parking lights, the switches light up red but still don't work. Ah!

To Phunk, there is a fuse for the rear trunk latch, pop open your fuse box and take a look.

my trunk goes out every now and then...its because the cable that is in the front bumper (drivers side) comes unplugged and causes the horn and trunk pop to stop working. You might try that, but it sounds like you have something different

Have you tried swapping out light bulbs to see if it is as simple as the bulbs burning out? Unlikely, I know, but it is still possible. The trunk uses the same bulbs as the footwell and puddle lights. It is very strange that the switches light up, because that means that the comfort control module is good, and not likely the culprit.

Nah, I looked at all the bulbs and they look fine, I cant imagine all 8 of them going bad in a car accident.

Could this be a problem with a relay. I know 98% that relay 219, the one controlling the cooling fans is toast because my fans will randomly run full blast after it rains. So I think it's possible that a relay in the same spot could also be toast.
