Its the lap timer.

No, its a lap timer. You press the button after each lap.

that's what you call video editing...not everything you see on on the internets is as it is in real life.

with that said, the controls for the lap timer are on the wiper controls on the right side of the wheel. I believe you press the button on the under side of the stalk to get to the lap timer. The toggle "button" at the end of the stalk will be useful for you also. As would reading the owners manual where this info is listed...
