Exclamation Pic Request: Lowered B7 RS4's...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey All,

Hoping those who have lowered their RS4's can post a pic. I am about to purchase a set of KW V3's and although I don't believe there are many RS4 owner's with this set up, I would still like to see and hear about your drop, regardless if lowered on coilover's or springs. Post up your ride height as well.

Looks great! Perfect drop IMO...although I don't think I want to go that low, I'll be driving with them during the winter months.

How did you like the KW V3's?

That's Tyson's car before the wheels. He had V3's on there and his drop looks to be about 25 3/8 all the way around. The rear could be at 25 1/4.

I remember when we met at CnC he mentioned he was on KW's, the rest of us there were on MS's except the stock Imola.

I have an Ibis RS4, dropped on Stasis SLs and I live in Toronto.

I can show you how it rubs it's belly on high points in the road if you'd like :)

    Scotty,

You have rubbing issues? I have same suspension and have been looking into spacers. If you're rolling 20x10 you've got to be/have had to deal with it. Thanks.

Interesting thread...I currently have DRCs and will replace them in the future w/ non DRCs but I don't want to go with Stasis (the rebuild issue pushes me off). I was seriously thinking about KW V3 but all this rubbing talk is putting me off...(and getting me a little hot). Are there any alternatives to DRCs (not Stasis) that won't have your ride rubbing w/ stock wheels? (not trying to thread jack).

wheel/tire selection depicts whether or not you'll actually rub. As for the re-builds, do a search on it in the suspension sub-forum. If you regularly track, you'll regularly rebuild. If you daily-drive, you can go a very long time without a rebuild. The longest I've heard on motorsports is 80k on a set, and they were still fine (didn't need a rebuild yet). I had just over 50k before my last rebuild with zero issues. I did mine as preventative maintenance...

When you remove the fender liner screws, did you need to replace them with anything or just take them out? I recently put 20X9.5s on and the rears were bumping what I believe was the screws

the rears don't have a fender liner screw. it may be rubbing on the actual liner itself

Well, your name is fitting. Necrobumping a thread that is older than dirt with a question about something that doesn't even exist is a total Newb move.

I am glad to say that I have the suspension tweeked now so it doesnt rub. However, it did rub badly in the beginning. But with a race alignment and a stiffer adjustment to the Suspension and a couple centimeters raised its perfect on the most serious of dips. It took a long time to be content with the Stasis. My fronts are tightened down to the Max and it only has the slightest of front float. But it was really nice on the track. In fact it shined on the track, outhandling every RS4 and S4, and S5 on the Track at NJMP that day.

KW V3's here. Maybe not the best pic, but it's the only one I have at work.

Found another...annoying my wheels are turned in both of these pictures. It doesn't show the drop as accurately.

I know I may get flamed with this... but why KW V3's if you aren't going to track? Why not just V1's? I had an A4 with V2s and I never adjusted them... I rarely took it to the track.
