Best looking rims on a6 c5 (need suggestions)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello. I have 2000. A6, c5. European version, as i am from europe :) It's in green color (dont have exact name) but the color is like this -> It is original without any mods, but i have decided to make it more aggresive looking, and thats why i'm looking new rims. Which rims would look the best on my a6 with this color?? Price would be mid range :) Pictures would be nice aswell :) Thanks in advance!!

This is a very subjective question, prone to dozens of subjective answers. Here's my set up at any rate. In my personal opinion, this is the best looking wheel for my car, but that is just my opinion.

Do a search for "Frank A6". Check all his posts. He has to take his tires off the rims to fill his gas tank, so he just changes rims while he has them off. Or at least it seems that way...

Personally, I find that 18" is the perfect-ratio size, as long as you don't slam and are able to run not-too-low-profile tires. Style is a very personal thing, but I plan on getting O.Z. Superturismo GTs in silver when I can afford to.

I'm with jedi on the sizing. I ran 19's this past summer and was spending most of the time worrying about dinging them up because of the 235/35 tires I had on there. I'm back on my stock 17's and they ride so much better, but they don't fill the wheel well as well as I would like. Thus the reason to go 18's next spring/summer. Also like V8 said, it's really just a matter of preference, I ran linea corse l22 this past summer and liked the look of the car, was something different than stock. However, it just didn't go with the look that I wanted. So now those are going up for sale and keeping an eye out for my next set.

Found some okay pictures for reference

Please excuse the 4x4 look, one of these days I'll actually be able to get low.

Under the wide fenders, my 245 tires and ET35 offset look anemic, but these still have my vote. Maybe get the same model, 9" wide wheels with a lip if you don't like the flush, not-so-deep-dish design.

Are you referring to the mustang billet wheels? Or is that just another brand I haven't heard of? I only ask because my original idea was to use the saleen mustang wheels off of the new edge in hypersilver as my next wheels but found something else that didn't require so much to fit.

I found a pchop that someone did for me and made it into a sig.

I love the 5 spoke design, I'll be doing something similar with my next set up.

Here's a few sets for the OP, BTW i prefer 18" wheels for the C5 (if its done right) + in my opinion the 9-spoke RS6/RS4 wheels look best on the C5, Ive had 3 sets of them all in different sizes and I'm planning on buying another set because i love them so much.

what is up with the ride height! are those 16's? I understand you arent lowered at all, but damn! It honestly looks like there is a lift kit on that. I have never seen a car so high. unless its because the sidewall very very very small? IDK

if price isnt a huge deal than BBS RS-GT is a very sexy wheel. More affordable, VMR 710N looks great as well.

They are actually 19s, but the lip makes it look worse than it actually is. Ive seen it in person and the height isnt all that different than stock with those wheels. Its just that 1" lip that continues outwards from the end of the spokes.

I have a soft spot for the S60R wheels, they look rugged and simplistic. I also would love to see some C6 vette wheels on a C5, both the spoked design and the flat blade stuled ones. (think mustang Bullit wheels that Ham was talking about) And of course one of the best looking wheels are the Murcielago wheels on an AR. I think those are mean. But the RS4 wheels are always a good bet. I really like the Niche Sports ( now that I know niche makes them instead of the rebadged/inflatted ADV.1 ones)

That's the only other C5 i have seen in that color besides my neighbors. That bumper makes me want to kill myself though.

I really like the OZ racing superleggeras on a c5 that's what I am looking for as my first set of wheels.

4th pics are the wheels that are on the car at this time, VMR VB3 18x9.5 45ET 5x120 BMW fitment with custom 19mm adapters final ET is 26 front and back also with 225/40/18 Dunlop DZ101's (a lot of stretch) those are for sale btw :)

I am just referring to the fender gap. I didnt have half of that when I was at stock height with 17's and Ham has the same car as me.

Yeah, took those pics right after I put on the wheels, the gap was horrendous, although it did settle some. I was taking a look at my suspension and from the looks of it, it is the original suspension for the car, def going to be replaced this winter so I can haz low.

For some reason I'm thinking of a change - not sure why, just part of the AZ virus I suppose ...

    Here's my summer rims (AEZ-18):

But I use S4-17s for winters:

I like the 9 spokers as well, but also like a little lip.
