Its been 10 years...and well my headlight lens is making me feel well....a little unclean :)
There pitted and just dont provide me with that fresh clean feeling anymore

So I was wondering......if there is a solution?
Yes I'v done the restore kits...but, they only go so far and the thought of spending a grand on replacements is a hard to swallow.

It would just be so nice to be able to replace the lens..which is really not a big deal...since thats all thats wrong with them

Negative, the lenses are part of the whole headlight assembly. We do have Hellas for $400 each right here:

Your other option would be to restore your existing headlights, using a kit such as this one here:

To protect new, restored, or still-unworn headlights, we recommend Lamin-X protective films:

Would you know...Is it even possible to get rid of the stock Hid system?

    some where in the U.S.

use the 3M kit. Ive used it on a set of A4 headlights where the lens were scratched and pitted. A couple hours later, they looked brand new...not one mark on them

I knew I could set a little fire. I'm not trying to get on anyone's bad side, I'm just giving some advice about doing some searching because it would help, that's all.

The headlight housings I posted are for halogen lamps. The OEM HID units are here:

The bulb fitments would be different between the HID headlights (D2S) and the Halogen, so you would not be able to run HID bulbs in a Halogen housing. If you wanted to downgrade to halogen headlights, you would need the wiring pigtails to adapt the Halogen housing with your vehicle. Your best bet is to give the restore kit a try (best results are gained from following the instructions to a T) and see where that leaves you.

There's another option. I had the headlight dr. Do mine. It was about $150, but he came out, sanded my lenses down, got rid of all the scratches and 2 HUGE gashes, then sprayed his magic clear coat on top. Warranty for 5 years! Find a headlight Dr. Franchise or the equivalent. It's worth the money. Mine turned out awesome!

Good idea... let the pros do it and get a warranty. Still cheaper than buying new. I would also use the clear film [should have UV blocker in the plastic] to prevent more damage, pitting, etc.
