depending on what wheel you run, you can probably reach through the spokes....

you know the fronts are 288mm. measure from the edge of it to the barrel of your rim... then measure the rears the same way. basic math and you can find out that way =)

245 is more common than 255 on 1.8s

..or just call your local Audi dealer with your vin number in hand.

Unfortunately there's no other way, but to take off the wheel and measure the rotor yourself.

Chassis/VIN # won't determine which size rotor you have either (at least, that's what I was told when I was shopping for a pair).

    Yes his VIN will.

ETKA will give me option codes.

dealer and ECS told me the vin doesnt mean shit. ENded up pulling the wheel off to measure. but 245mm is likely the case unless you are 3.0

Than your dealer and ECS are pretty incompetent. If using ETKA, you will get the proper rotors by looking at the vehicle info. In this case I think he is like 1ZL option, which is 245x10mm rotors. I am at home, but yeah - the vin says all.

Edit: Do you actually think at Audi the techs are pulling the rotor off everytime to tell the parts guys they need prices on a 245mm or 235mm rotors? I don't think so, given I work in that department. lol.
