where do i put the 02 spacer?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
just got my 034 02 sensor spacer and it looks like there's two places where a sensor (or a cord, whatever it is) is connected into the tp. one of them is reachable, kind of exposed towards the front of the tp. and the other is farther back, and looks like i can only get to it if i take off the tp. at which of these locations do i put on the 02 sensor? thanks.

the 1 after the cat like these guys say, now it may take a day or so for the CEL to come on if it didn't work, if there is a problem the CEL wont come on right away, atleast mine didnt. It took a good day for my cel to come on, i had a spacer but it wasn't a nice 1 like 034's. Please post back and let us know if that spacer works just to let the community know if that shit works or not. I'm under the impression that it wont work but who knows, they could have something good goin on and it might work lol.
Selling Nogoro blue Alcantara door panels. Will fit b6/b7 a4/s4/rs4. In great condition, originally wanted $600 shipped but dropped price to $500 shipped. Check my classifieds for pictures. I want these gone, will include extra door clips if requested. PM me if you want pictures of them installed or anything else I want these gone so make me an offer and we'll talk.

Figure if I get the light I'll have it shut off via the APR tune planned for November.

I finally got my spacer from 034 (thanks for adding the USPS shipping option, guys!). Is this something that the car needs to be up on ramps or not? Should I use loctite?

here's a follow up question to the original post: why is it the back location instead of the front? why would it matter?

I'm running GIAC software and the 034 space works.....2 weeks now and no CEL. I did not use loctite but I highly suggest you use hi-temp anti-seize.

Joshd2012, you may be able to install the spacer through the engine bay. I installed my O2 sensor this way but the spacer I installed while I had the DP and Cat out. If you can get the O2 sensor out then I don't see a reason why this shouldn't work........I have a manual tranny though so I have a bit more working room....prob have to remove the airbox to gain more working room.

Any tips on how you managed to install the spacer with the exhaust still on? I'm probably going to have to tackle that same job soon.. Looking from the top of the engine bay it doesn't seem possible but I'd love to be proven wrong!

because the one before the cat takes the"original" measurements of the CO2, and then the one after the cat will take the measurements and compare. So with the cat on youll have less CO2 coming out by the second sensor which is after the cat. And if your measurements are the same it will throw a CEL

    Correct me if im wrong
If you don't need both hands on the wheel, then you're NOT driving.

Excellent, I will have to look under the hood and see what my options are. I have a manual, and removing the airbox shouldn't be difficult if I need the extra space (already have a Carbonio in there). Thanks for the info!
