IVRINGS, you probably meant "... aren't getting the whole story." The tires were not rebalanced ... unless they did not tell me about it and did not list it on the invoice. You are getting the whole story. My tires have around half the tread left on them and the dealership mentioned that a couple are beginning to dry rot. Regardless, my point was that they could have taken my money regardless of the tire condition but did not. Simply an honest act, I feel.
I plan to take my car to them for my routine maintenance. They gave me a quote on the 35,000 mile maintenance. According to RepairPal, it is competitive but I found an Internet quote from a Chicagoland dealer that is half. So, we will see whether they are willing to match the price.
I have to agree with you on Autohaus, they have outstanding service and will be taking my back to them for future services.
When I bought my A3, two days later some fuel relay went out in my car. Took my car to suds in bloomington, they made everything seem good, two weeks later I finally got my car back after bitching and bitching at them about it still being there for a RELAY, WTF!!! Never again take my car there.
Cam follower failed and destroyed my cam in the A3. Took my car to Autohaus in Peoria on a Friday morning. Talked to the service guy and asked if they were going to freak over my car being modified and he told me only if we can prove the modification was the cause of the failure. Called me later that day and said everything was going to be covered under warranty. The following Tuesday my car was done. So they ordered parts on Friday im guessing, off for the weekend, tore my top end down, rebuilt the top end with all new parts including the new hpfp, and had my car back to me Tuesday afternoon.
3 days to replace my topend from Autohaus. 2 WEEKS FOR A RELAY FROM SUDS!!!!! SUDS FTMFL
