What would leak if I had a hole in my Catalytic Converter?

If I had a hole on the cat because it rusted would water leak out of it?
I noticed yesterday that something (a lot of something) was leaking out of the car..
I checked the liquid and as far as I can tell it's water.
If the cat had a hole in it would water leak out of it?
If it is rusted and has a hole in it can I just do a patch job say weld a piece of steel to the part that has a hole in it?

Stupid question but I gotta ask, was your A/C on?

You know what to be 100% honest with you I don't know FOR SURE
however I NEVER put my AC on so I'm going to say No it wasn't on.
That being said though I can't tell you for sure.
(I know where you are getting at about the A/C being on I know it drips water if it is on)

For the sake of the thread though let's assume it was off

A/C runs with the climate control on auto, so unless you had on recirc, your A/C was running. If it was coming from around the front right area, it was your A/C. No Worries.

And no water will not come out of your cat, it gets WAY TOO HOT.

I would say it was coming from the rearish center of the car. I'm 99.9 percent sure it was water though...Heh I'm confused..I'm going to take a picture of where the water was coming out a little later and post it up. I did notice that something looks rusted under there and I'm pretty sure it is not the muffler (unless my eyes are going blind heh)
