First off, I hope this post will help the decision for some people when picking up an intercooler. I wasnt a fan of picking up a core and than having end tanks welded on. I was in search of something that had end tanks on, reliability and had good warranty.
At first, I found a Yonaka Type 10 core at my local tuning shop for a wicked deal. I mounted it, and the end tank positioning sucked for any situation, thus I was a bit frustrated. Secondly, I wasn't impressed with the mounting ability's of the core. Evidently having something welded on would be ideal (in which I did) but than I noticed something. The bung that came with the core, leaked air. If it were to go through the plate in the core it's self. I gave Yonaka a call, and got the run around a bit but we are still working something out. From the sounds of things, for my inconvenience I will be getting some of there seats for free with no charge. I will be extremely happy for this outcome, but I can only hope.
To the point, I got my Vibrant core today (measured the same as my Type 10 but slightly thicker *3.25"* vs *3.0") and am beyond happy. From packaging, to styling to offseting end tanks. I love it, not to mention it came with proper mounting hardware, no boost leaks and gives me the reassurance of a good intercooler.
I decided to take some photos for comparison between the too.
Vibrant is on the top

Vibrant on right, Yonaka on left

Vibrant on bottom, Yonaka on top

Vibrant on right, Yonaka on left

Mounting hardware different. The top is the T-Bar I made to support the core and onto the bung of the Yonaka core. The bolts and CNC'd plates are the hardware you can mount on any bolt hole in the Vibrant core

Enjoy,
Tanks for looking!
