B6 passat roof rack fit B6 A4???

I saw a roof rack set up on ECS and its a freaking steal for what they are asking, so now my question is will it fit my B6 A4?? Thanks

hehe i swear I wanted to ask the same thing for the exact same reason.
i was on ecs earlier and was like , fuck yea if only it can be modified to fit.

Sorry to jump on this late, I'll speak to Jay when he comes in but I'm pretty certain that he didn't hear the delineation from B6 Audi to B6 VW when you guys spoke. I hate to say it, but B6 Passat roof racks will not fit B6 A4 Audi straight on. You may be able to modify one to fit but don't plan on them working. This is just how B5.5 Passat roof racks don't fit on B5 A4s though they do look close.

Damn I asked him if they would fit a B6 A4 and he said they are the basically same car so they will fit.

I doubt they'll fit. I know the Thule fit kit #'s are different between B6 A4's and B6 Passats...if they were the same, they'd fit (kind of like the B6 and B7 sedan's have the same fit kit number, and the kit will fit on both cars)

Anyway to cancel these orders before they ship if they don't fit? I was told the rack wouldn't ship for 4-7 days.

OK 2 things.

1: NO they DO NOT fit right off the bat. i just got mine today form ecs at a steal. they are a few inches too wide to fit even at the skinniest setting.

2: they CAN be easily modified to fit quite well.

if there is a demand for it, i will do a diy writeup on how to modify them but idk how to upload pictures to the forum so someone help me out.

Why modify you ask? because the audi set is $400 and the vw set is $80 on ecs and those are some of the best prices i could find.

yeah i really like they way they look. ROCK SOLID too. i tried to shake them and stuff and they dont creak or anything. they suposedly supprot up to 220 lbs. not bad eh?
