just checked psi on all 4, then looked at door jam label and it says to run 44 all around for 235/40/18, which is what my B7 '06anniv edtn has.

do most of you run at/near that?

i drive mostly around town 25 minute one way commute, stop and go, lights 5 day a week commute, minimal highway.

    thanks in advance

The door sticker is the max pressure for a fully loaded car so five passengers, full tank of gas, and 150 pounds of crap in the trunk. I run 40 psi in my car but I tend to drive mine hard since the V8 sounds so good.

That is really only a setting for the OEM tires. a different tire is going to have different pressure requirements

I run about 40 up front and about 35 in the rear. The differance in pressure is an effort to combat oversteer.

Go by the normally loaded pressures listed in the owners manual for your tire size. The b-pillar stickers on the newer Audi's that only list one tire pressure for the front and one for the rear are that way because of a U.S. Federal Law (thank Firestone 100%) requiring only the MAX loaded tire pressure listed. If you air them up to 44 psi front and rear you will feel every little crack in the road (a rough ride).

Since I have aftermarket 19" wheels, my tire size isn't in the owners manual. I air mine to 38 front, 38 rear and it feels good.

Same here. 40 is good. If your going to load the car up. Then move the pressure up to 42-44. 40 gives a great ride smooth and sound feel, as well as good gas mileage
If you don't have haters, then you're not kicking enough ass.

I'm with Joel. 44 makes the car drive poorly on the freeway and it actually feels a tad floaty. I run 39/37 (or something close) and it seems to be well balanced. If I have to drive a bunch of people or stuff somewhere I will bump it up to 42/39. And FWIW, my tires are XL rated.

I have OEM tires and i run it at 44. Why? Couple of reasons...

    1. I almost always have 4-5 passengers (including me) and at least 30 lbs of cargo in the trunk at any given time.
    2. Car has better fuel mileage when I keep the PSI at 44 all around.

I keep mine at 38/38. Mainly because the 275/30's are so hard when I inflate them to 40 or higher. There is a little tire squeal now and then when I rip around a 90 degree corner at 60Kmh, but apart from that it is a nice, smooth ride.
