Will the 19" S5 wheels fit on our B8 S4's?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I know squat about wheel fitment. Will the 19" S5 wheels fit on the B8 S4 in place of our 19" wheels?
    Anyone know?

    Thanks in advance.

ok cool would I need to run spacers then to push them out a bit or something or are the offsets close enough that it should look fine as is?

They will fit but the offset is fairly aggressive for S4 fitment. Wrap them in 245/35/19s instead of 255/35/19s if you want to be rub-free.

I have the A5 S-line wheels on my A4, which are the same size/offset as the S5 wheels. I got 245/35/19 tires and have never rubbed even tho I'm lowered. The thinner tires also look better IMHO

they fit well on 245x35-19 tires, but the 255s will poke a bit, and rub a bit if lowered.

The ET32 offset of the S5 wheels is a bit aggressive for the S4 and the front wheels will poke a little. I've seen it in person and I'm not a fan.

My friend has the s5 wheels on his. Fully stock besides an exhaust and he has rubbing issues. He bought them with the original rubber from a kid in the neighborhood that purchased after market wheels.

Yup, very true. Perfect in the front w/ room in the rear for a spacer it seems. I haven't done it so I can't guarantee rub-free fitment but more than likely a 5mm spacer in the rear would work w/ no problems.

It does rub with the 255's, I completely cut out the outer part of the liner and I don't know what it's rubbing. there are no visible wear marks anywhere. it's also a light scrub now with the liners cut out.

Dang I wish there wasnt rubbing issues. I think these wheels look awesome on the car as an alternative to the OEM 19"S4 wheels..

I only want to go there if it's hassle free..

For us guys with the RS6 style stock 19s. Could we pick up 2, S5 spec RS6 wheels and throw them on the back with the same 255s? Then put a small spacer on the fronts. The S5 wheels have a noticeable more concavity.

yes, but you won't be able to rotate them. 5mm on the front of the stock wheels is 38et. nice fit, then on the back you should aim for 32et which is the s5 size. S5 spec rs6 wheels are tuff to find.

    Maybe I misunderstood.

But anyway - I just found out the seller is selling these wheels with 255/35 pirelli pzero rosso's
So there shouldn't be any rubbing or poking with these correct?

255s will poke in the front and may rub. 245s will not. Also I have heard a few negative comments about factory-installed Pirellis, but I don't remember if those were the PZero Rossos or a different line.

Is the car in these pictures lowered? If so, would that likely be the reason it was rubbing with the S5 wheels? There seems to be some conflicting arguments as to whether or not the S4 with the stock suspension rubs with stock S5 wheels. If I do not plan on lowering my car, will I be OK with S5 wheels?

The 19" peeler and rotors on the S5 are both 9" whereas on the S4 they are 8.5"; additionally, the offset is different too...hence the rubbing issues...

If you just like the look, you can get a Hartmann replica with the proper offset and 255 on. Otherwise like everybody said, go with 245 on stock.

    The magic solution is:

    245x35x19 tires (replacing stock S4 255x19/35)

This is because ET on stock S5 19" is only 32.

On wheels with ET of 43 like the OEM S4 19" ones 255 is possible without rubbin.

Never a rub 2 seasons already, voila:

Notice the presence of "lip" over the rim so riding a curb gently does not equal rash,
unlike of the "bare" configurations so favored by some of our more tattooed members:)

I don't have rubbing issue with mine and have had them for over a year. I do not have my car lowered and I am running S5 Rotors with 255/35/19 tires.

Hi guys would there be a difference in the year of the s5? Looking at getting rotor wheels off of a 2013 s5 to put on a 2011 s4? Any comments? Thanks.

Will the 19" S5 wheels fit on our B8 S4's?

What about S5 rears and S4 front wheels? Would give the impression of a RWD with a wider rear wheel.

EDIT - I'm thinking that this may affect the quattro system.

I thought about doing that. Sure it would work, but then you lose the ability to easily rotate tires at all four corners.

EDIT: And because I never miss an opportunity to whore a photo, here is my B8.5 on coilovers with S5 peelers 19x9 et33 with 255/35/19. I get some rubbing in the rear passenger side with -1.5 degrees camber:
