Just a quick question. I'm about to pull the trigger on gray TT225 injectors for a good price and just wanted to make sure these would work on my 05 B6 1.8T for Revo stage 2.

so then were there different versions of TT225 injectors? He said he used them for 10k miles for stage 2 and is moving to a BT so he needs bigger injectors. What's the difference with the blue and the gray?

the Bosch 386cc 225TT injectors are light blue with a long nozzle...

what color are the genesis 380cc's? ...they might be the gray ones.
iirc, the genesis 380cc's were used in the early APR 1+ tune.

The injectors the OP has are from an older TT, you would be better off with the new TT's injectors like the ones posted above.

There are 2 types of TTs. 180 and 225. Those above look like stock TT180 (pretty much stock A4) injectors.

I just searched the part number on genuineaudiparts.com and it said: Injector, tt, 1.8l, w/225hp 2003 - 2006 so I'm guessing it is for the 225hp but just need someone else to verify this. Anyone have the part number for the blue TT225's?

Shorter nozzle, not as good atomization (not sure if thats the right term). I read a thread a long time ago about this in this forum, let's see if I can find it....

The extended spray nozzle tips are used with the higher flow rate injectors to minimize the amount of spray cone spread before the intake valves, to reduce the wall wetting in the intake manifold. Fuel wetted manifold port runner walls ruin tight A/F mixture control. Since the 386 cc/min injectors spray pattern is larger than the stock 170 hp injectors, the extended tips are used to maintain tighter A/F mixture control, that is not needed in the lower flow injectors. This is also why using injectors that provide the correct dual cone spray pattern is very important with the 1.8T.

i would hold out for the longer tip blue injectors. They pop used for good prices in the classifieds.

It's already been said, but the grey are the short neck (not recommended) and the Blue are the Long Neck (recommended)

Looking for the comparison Chart Old Guy sent me...
