r32 vs b5s4?

so i was driving around in Mexico and some bmw tried too beat me off the line. I said hell no and smoked it. Then in my rear view mirrors two r32 are behind me. One fly's by me and then i catch up and we did some 20 to 50 pulls and I start pulling on him(its seemed like an older one). At a light we told each other we had nice cars and went or separate ways. Then on my right there was a 2010 or 2009 r32 so we kinda waved and then the light turned green he then gunned it but then the light in front turned red. So then we were both on the line. He took off I didn't gun it but then I gave it full power and started reeling him in but then the road was about to end. I gave up and let him pass(I always puss out) but in the end his car seemed about the same speed as mine. Im a stage 2+

if this continued how would I of fared? b5s4 vs r32

It was a fun night almost no one does this then later that night a 350z

Not sure of the r32 year i just know it was the newest body style.

aside from the whole mexico thing...you're stage 2 and a bonestock r32 mk5? I think a bonestock s4 will take an r32, let alone a stage ANYTHING. No offense to R owners, but they're quick, not fast and def nowhere near as quick as a b5s4.

LOL not only do they get the R32, the rods in that motor are different than the rods in any other R32. I dont know why and the parts guy at VW didntknow why either.

he should kill Stage 2 S4s, possibly K04 S4s. The 3.2L VR makes power VERY easily

R32s with bolt ons are slow. Probably one of the best sounded engines VW has ever made, but slow, heavy and dare I say over-priced.
Even supercharged (my buddy VF Stage 2 S/C MK4 R32 with intercooler) would get raped by my GIAC Stage 2.

Once you turbo them though, it's a whole 'nother story. Basically think 3.2 liters and massive turbo (to our standards).

I got into a little race with a R32 a while back down in Mehico and it was a REALLY close race. I have a bone stock B5S4 (K&N air filter) and I took him by about 2 - 3 cars and we went from roughly 65 to 125 or 130. I have no idea what mods (if any) were done to the VW, but I like those R32's!

I work at the Unitronic booth for Waterfest and H20 on the East Coast, and there are always a bunch of turbo R32 guys coming up to us telling us their car is running great. The engine is a monster and very strong (until pushed to its limits). I would think it's much more reliable than a B5 S4

come from mexico. r32 wing did not leave the sale in Mexico, the only r32 2004 2003 is located in Puebla Mexico. but it is an avant-powered r32 is an owner of the factory located in Puebla Mexico wv

Yup! It takes quite a lot of real estate to get from 65 to 130 in a stock S4.

it seems like most people i meet with a boosted R have either done it all wrong, (i.e. running stock compression, rods, and pistons, @ <10psi.) or the people i know that have done it right still have/had issues, and just get rid of the setup or car entirely ... i guess it just depends on how well put together it is and how well the ECU file is written..

I had a boosted 12valve VR before my S4, and it was fast. But supercharging on a small displacement 6 is NOT the way to go, and my stage 2ish (chip, catback, intake) S4 is faster. I repeat supercharging a 6 is NOT the ideal way to boost a motor, Turbo's FTW

me 3, and i have to c/s with the idea on supercharging, although it is damn stable. my friend is running my motor&s/c setup in his car still to this day and its a trooper


had a full stage 3 VF setup, and i thought my (old)car was fast until i installed k04's on my s4, now thats even slow
