    Lightweight racing seats

Ok guys, I am trying to determine what the best racing seat for my use would be. Here is the following criteria:

    1. This is obviously most important. My stock drivers seat has the butt-bolsters completely worn down and do not provide any support. I am a big guy and naturally have a fat ass so the seats need to be a little wider than our stockers.

    2. Weight reduction

    3. I would prefer a seat with adjustable incline, fixed position isnt really an option (unless the price is VERY reasonable)

    4. Price, I'm not looking to break the bank here.

    5. Overall look/apperance of the seat. Must go w/ my interior. Right now I have Ecru (white) seats/door cards and piano black trim. I have no problem swapping rear seat and door cards w/ either black or sport rear seat/door cards.

The car is DD during spring/summer and parts of fall and stored during the winter. Long trips/cruises occassionally (so comfort is a big factor). Has not seen any track time yet, but plans for doing so after graduation and the build is done.

Also, if anyone has pics to go with their recommendation it is greatly appreciated!

I can help you with 1 and 2. Buddy of mine is the exclusive US importer of Tillett racing seats. He's a big guy and he fits in them no problem. His 5 year old kid can pick them up with ease. Probably out of your price range though.

corbeau a4 is a GREAT seat for what you want, and the price is definitely right. I think you can even get them with heat/power options now. www.racing-seats-usa.com

and do yourself a favor and goole 'eat right for your blood type'. it has literally changed the world for me and a good buddy of mine. both of us were 6'4" 240-250 and snail like metabolism. eating right for your blood type is a great way to feel better, and be MUCH healthier, all the while not making a crazy lifestyle or diet change.

$2600 per seat, plus $135 shipping for the pair. There is about a 2 month lead time to get them as they are in huge demand and its tough to make them in large quantities.

PM me if you're okay with that price, I might be able to get you a discount if you're serious.

Anyone have the Corbeau LG1 or TRS? The A4 looks really really good for the price, but my budget is around $1500. Any Corbeau seat I would upgrade from cloth and probably add the lumbar support to both seats or heating, cant decide.

Also considering buying one Recaro for now and the passenger side down the road. Considering the Trend, Sport or Style. Any opinions on one Recaro vs 2 Corbeau's?

Have you sat in a fixed back? you might be surprised how comfortable some of them are. Many fixed back seats Corbeau and others offer, come in a Wide option to accommodate larger and wider people.

if your looking for adjustment, they make special adjusters so you can adjust your fixed back seat. i think sparco makes them

I recommend you go somewhere (local speed shop, friend's car, etc.) where you can actually SIT in a seat and try it out before you buy it. I have Sparco Torinos and I love them, but other people hate them. You need to find a seat that fits YOU, not the people in this thread telling you what seats to buy.
