Can't enter climate control diagnostic mode

First post here.... I have two issues currently with my 2005.5 A4 B7.

    1. I have a CEL P0299 which is a turbo under boost. Seems like a fairly common problem and I need to check out the DV for cracks. Ok, no problem, I will do that.

    2. I also don't have any cold air coming out of the AC. I checked the low pressure line and I see that the system is charged so I don't need to refill that. I read about this procedure to enter diagnostic mode on the climate control system:
Press and hold the recirculation button. Then press the manual flow control up arrow. You should see a 1c. Press the temperature up ("+") or down ("-") buttons to select a code number. Then press the recirculation button again. The value should display. Press the temperature up or down button again to display another code.
I suspected the CEL was causing the climate control to not enter the diagnostic mode. This is not the case since I cleared the CEL with a code scanner and now I still can not enter climate control diagnostic mode. The above info I posted is all that I can find regarding this diagnostic mode for Audi A4's 2000+. Is there any other information out there? I saw in the B7 FAQ that certain AC systems are prone to failure but there was no other info on it.

    Thanks!

That diagnostic mode is for the B5 only.

    Thanks Tanner.

Is there any similar diagnostic mode for the B7 that I can read the climate control codes with?

Nope - you need a vagcoom tool and then look at the measuring blocks.
