Best Rattle Can Clear Coat available at Kragens/Autozone?

Wondering out of all the available choices, which clear coat rattle can has had the most tough finish/glossy finish? Just would like to know in case i ever needed any. I know theres a bunch you can get online and stuff, but IF i had to get it ASAP in person for who knows what reason, i would like to know which one i can get easily. If you have pics of the clear coat on whatever you used, please post.

go to an auto body supply place. they sell clears in spray cans that are better than the stuff at the parts places. Body shops sometimes use the spray can clears for jams and small stuff. they dry very fast as well.

+1, you can actually purchase paint from auto paint shops and have them put it in a can for you.

Go to an auto body shop supply shop and look for SEM paint. It comes in a spray can but it is used by body shops for inconspicuous areas on cars. It will run you about $10-15 a can.

Kind of off topic. But does anyone know what paint to use when repairing oem audi wheels, a silver to match as well as what clear would hold up to the weather.

the paint we use for the audi wheels is wurth silver. it matches exactly to the silver on our wheels. you can get kits that have the silver and clear together. you can find it online for about $35-40.

I used Dupli-color. The paint worked pretty good but the clear coat was useless....

The paint left a rough fibery feel to my rims so i though the clear would put a smooth clear hard coat over top of the paint. It didnt make any difference in the look or feel....

I have a can from my body shop of Moro Blue that was color matched to my car. This is the best way to go to get paint!

Nice the 2nd link is what I was looking for. BUT ... .Due to VOC Regulations this product cannot be shipped to California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.

The clear builds on the base coat. If the base coat is already a bit sketchy, any problems will be made more noticeable with more layers. Did you color sand then polish the clear afterward?

Media blasted then sanded with various grits to a fairly smooth finish. The paint itself seamed like it had little fibers in it...

I'm doing another set this weekend so im looking for something that will give a better finish.
