    LoL - No AWD - 2.0 tfsi, Audi Symphony, no B&O or such. Just memory seats + wooden trip is our 'Premium plus' equivalent.

    Only the 3.0 TDI and 3.2 TFSI get the MMI + Drive Select; others variants don't even have the option! Both would be upwards of $90K CAD!

    Invoice Price is what I paid in Oct of 2009.
    If I had to do it again, I would have gotten the sport package.
    Didn't get Premium +, but I am very happy with the e-codes I picked up after the fact.

    Last 01/02/10 I pay 27500€ for my A4 Avant 2.0TDI 143cv Advanced (imported from Germany, used 07/2008, 16700km, 17", Navi, SportPacket and other optionals).

    Another question for anyone: how many taxes & assurance pay for your A4?

    For example: in Italy every year (for example I have bought my car on 01/02/10... I have to pay this tax next year on 01/02/11) you have to pay a tax calulated by KW x EuroPoluttion Factor: if you don't pay this tax... police confiscate your car!

    EuroPoluttion Factor:
    Euro4 & Euro5 = 2,58€
    Euro3 = 2,72€
    Euro2 = 3,00€
    Euro1 = ... more pollution your car made, more you have to pay

    my car has 105KW... than 105 x 2,58 = 270,9€

    Assurance: the price is calculated with a lot of factor for example how many accident you cause, the number of years you drive the car (the driving class), how much you decide to assurance the car (every year you can decide). A new law (from 2/3 years I think ) is that if you have more than 25 years old, you can catch the driving class from another component of your family: this law permit you to save money.

    This year I pay 960€

    And in your countires... how much taxes you have to pay?

    Can you walk us through how you used the AMEX pricing when you walked in to the dealer? Did you just say here's my certificate now sell me the car at this price? Did you go to any sales person? Any resistance to not honor that price? Can you get it on a custom order?

    2010 Prestige - Walked out with US $5200 off of MSRP and my extended clear bra for free. Audi dealers are all a bit quirky (don't worry so are BMW and Merc but for slightly different reasons) when it comes to how willing to deal they are. Here's how it worked in my case- the dealer contracts with Audi on a turn-and-earn basis, meaning that future allocations to that dealership by Audi depend on how many actual units the dealership sells every set term. In my case, it was monthly because they are the big boys in the area and a volume seller. What this meant for me was waiting until the last few days of the month when they needed to get about 10 more cars off the lot to meet their threshold so they would be allocated enough new 2011s for the busy months. Then, I took in the invoice and compared it to theirs (what Edmunds doesn't tell you is that sometimes dealerships in certain cities, states or regions will get together and share their advertising costs and couch them in the invoice price- resulting in an invoice price on their books that is slightly higher than what edmunds gives you) and there was a difference of about $200 USD. I knew there was Audi loyalty money (my second Audi) and I knew there was some other corporate incentive, so I took those off and then went down from there. However, the biggest secret that always seems to work better for me is to walk in with a check written and signed instead of playing the game for 3 hours. I figured out tax, title, doc fees and took the discount I wanted combing corporate money and what I thought the price should be, had the cashier's check made and walked in at the end of the month, put it on my salesman's desk and said, "Deal or no deal?". Cheesy, but he walked into the manager's office and came out ten minutes later with my keys (don't worry, they washed the car first). I don't know about anyone else, but where I'm from it's pretty rare to get over 3 grand off of an Audi invoice.

    Dude, sick deal...gotta love the friends and family discount. I always remember, back in 1982 my dad was "gifted" and 1978 Mercedes 300CD coupe, which at the time, was a hot car, despite it's 0-60 in about 12 seconds. I've always been waiting for one of those situations to come along...

    U.S. only has sales tax and, for a rare few cars, a gas guzzler tax (if the displacement is over something like 6.0 liters). But we only pay it once, it is up front (when you buy the vehicle), and you never pay it again. Sales tax can be anywhere from 5-8% of total sales cost, gas guzzler is something like $1500.
