Another exhaust manifold option for stock setups.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I was browsing the ETKA and noticed the exhaust manifold part numbers are different between the AMB and the Euro BEX 1.8Ts. The turbo is also a different PN, but that aspect is not as interesting as the changed manifold PN. Now, I wonder if I can order the BEX manifold somehow. I imagine it would be a better flowing manifold than the AMB part.

Is there anyway to get specs on the BEX manifold. Maybe an AZ member across the pond with a 1.8t can answer this. Hopefully it's not just a change in turbo location or anything like that. You should check eBay UK for a used BEX manifold diagnosticator.

Would it be worth the hassle when atp and 034 already have high flow mainfolds for our cars???

If you give the part number I can check how much it would cost through the Finnish Audi club's spare part channel.

As for the turbo, the BEX comes standard with 2 intercoolers and a K03-078 turbo. Severl other mods as well like the injectors to give it 190bhp.

You can order one from any company that imports OE Euro parts like Greg@DTH, ECS, or even TMTuning. They do look to be rather expensive new ( around $500 from what I've found). Used on eBay.de or eBay.co.uk would be more affordable.
BT/BAT build threads make me happy I have a stock turbo

That manifold looks like a side-mount turbo with an external waste gate. Definitely not a direct swap for a 1.8T

don't try it through ebay, cause you don't know what you're buying and maybe full of cracks..

Thanks for your effort posting, but the linked manifold is for a diesel, not the 033 AH BEX manifold.

I don't know. My guess is that it is a higher flowing version of the OEM stock AMB manifold, I'm hoping to find more info soon.

NP the part number you provided is just under $400 from ECS and takes about a month to come in.

How much? I have several friends in the UK that can have it shipped through USPS if you are willing to wait a week to ship or so. How much does he want to ship it to the US?

    thanks for the pics!!

so the bex has larger/equal runner inlets than the ATP, but tapers to the collectors from what i can see. Your turbo must spool alot faster with the BEX mani right?

no need on the ATP mani

full boost at 4500rpm? i was under the impression that a 71r elim with the ATP mani would give full boost around 4000-4100rpms? and with this smaller BEX mani it spools slower?
