What are the red lines on the speedo for (no, not *the* redline)?

I just noticed my A4 has three notches on the speedometer that are red instead of white. They're the notches at 30, 50 and 130 km/h. All the rest of them are white. I can't think of the significance, does anyone know?

I noticed this before and had a close look at the manual. The 30,50 and 130 speeds come up frequently when discussing the adaptive cruise control so I would assume that's what they are there for. 30km is the minimum for cruise to work, 50 and 130 are mentioned as what the "distance" presets are calculated on.
My other home is an AIRSTREAM.

They have nothing to do with the ACC - it is also another cluster that is been used here.

130 km/h being common European speed limit on highways.
50 km/h is inner city speed limit in most European Countries.
30 km/h is speed limit for traffic calmed areas.

It's a shame they spent enough time thinking about they speedo but didn't realise how useless it is due to it going up to a stupid level.

Sounds similar to when they use to highlight the 55mph on the US cars back in the 80's and 90's as this use to be the most common highway speed limit. Now the limits are all over the place in the US so you don't see any number highlighted (65mph on most, 55mph on a few and as high as 75mph on some).
