like the title says. i got a great deal on one of these but it doesnt have settings for boost levels listed. it works by turnig the top a certain # of "clicks" to set boost levels/spring tension.

just wondering if someone already has one, and how many clicks did it take to reach stock boost levels.

ive yet to put a boost gauge in, just cant find a location i like.

heres the instructions it came with:

    thanks for any help.

i have a diffrent splitter so i can't comment on exactly how many clicks you should use on the forge but i can tell you that it's best to leave the location stock. longer hoses off the IC piping will cause a delay in releasing the pressure and in turn put more stress on the turbo. No reason to move it, set it and forget it.

On about 14 clicks from outward on stock boost, no issues or fluttering in over 2 years, once in
a while under hard driving during auto x I get what sounds like bov flutter on real fast on/off throttle in 2nd gear.

I just installed one last night. Took about 2 hours as I couldn't find anything to cut the one-time-use clamps. One those clips are off it takes about 10 minutes to put on. I have it on 15 clicks clockwise and im on stock boost. Planning to go stage 1 right away and will be adjusting it. I wasn't sure about the psshhh sound when ordering it, but the beauty is that you have the option with this dv.

    Also, build quality is unbelievable.

what do you mean? theres like 8 'clicks' per full revolution of the nob. makin for 53 "clicks"

edit from my post above. i'm on 24 clicks to go with the KO4 (20psi of boost)i had in car. (had it written on the box the DV came in) but still running that same amount with the Ko3.

I think it depends what your max PSI is. Just e-mail Forge and ask them. I know you said you don't have a boost gauge, so just search on the forum what whatever tune you have and find out what PSI you should be running at. If you are stock, a healthy system should max out at about 8-9 PSI. So just find out what PSI you are running and ask Forge. They will give you a direct answer.

i put it on 15 clicks clock wise and it feels fine. no luck on the boost gauge tonight, but i will call forge to get the correct # of clicks per psi. funny it doesnt come with that info. i realized when i took my old dv off that its not a stock one, but a pretty heavy, stout one. ill post up pics tomorrow to determine what it is. loving the woosh!

as of right now im a heathy bone stock, with a true 3" test pipe back, thermal r&d race going on this weekend.

    thanks for all the posts.

p.s. as this car is brand new to me, is there a way for me to tell if it has any work done to it as far as a chipped ecu program? it was well taken care of and day one audi serviced, so i doubt it, but who knows.

    thanks.
