All this is needed:

Mount point on trim with LEDs:

1x Surround lighting LED left: Part #: 4F0 949 133
1x Surround lighting LED right: Part #: 4F0 949 134

2x Small screws for mounting the LEDs to the trim

2x 2-pin connector: Part #: 823 971 988
2x Wire: Part #: 000 979 103

1x Wire: Part #: 000 979 009

12V line connection:
1. Remove door panels, driver and passenger side - http://www.gsbg-tuning.de/tuerverkle...emontageb8.pdf
2. Cut the wire 000 979 009 in the middle. Put one end of the wire into pin 1 of the black connector that leads from the door control unit to the mirror.
3. Maybe you need to extend the cable, and then put it up into the mirror housing.
4. Put one end of one of the wires 000 979 103 into one of the 2-pin connectors 823 971 988, and then cut it in the middle. One end of the wire is connected to the earlier 12V line, and the other end is connected to ground.

Exterior mirror housings Dismantle:
1. Pull the mirror glass with your hands forward toward your body, unplug any plug on the back of the mirror (heating and dimming plug).
2. Remove mirror housing top upwards, this is sticking with 2x Torx10 screws and some clips.
3. Remove the lower mirror trim, this is sticking with 2x Torx10 screws and some clips.
4. Mount the new lower mirror trim - remember to screw on the Surround lighting LED first with a small screw.
5. Connect the Surround lighting with the connector 823 971 988.
6. Mirror reassemble.
Unlock the door control:
Code:
[42 - Door Elect, Driver] [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 1 Bit 0 - Set this bit manually to “1” - (1 = active)
Code:
[52 - Door Elect, Pass.] [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 1 Bit 0 - Set this bit manually to “1” - (1 = active)
It should work together with the Coming- Leaving Home functionality.
If the mirrors are electrically folded in the lights will be short off immediately, and will work again when the mirrors are folded out.
