    Koni or Eibach coil overs?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'am wanting to buy a set of coilovers for my B6 and wanted to get and opinion.

For confort, not track or auto cross just for a slammed daily driver, what would be better koni or eibach?

also where is the best place to buy them? (best price)

    thanks

I have Konis and I love them. You can go preaty low with them and still have a comfortable ride if you get them with adjustable dampaning. Also I got mine from mjm and didn't pay that much and it also came with a free neuspeed rear sway
mods: Koni coils, suede door and dash trim, BSR cat back, samco hoses, TT injectors Unitronic Stage 2, water/meth and brushed aluminum trim and badges

Konis if you like the fine adjustments (I had them before and didn't like how infinite the settings are, I always wondered if they were perfectly balanced).

Eibach, I would rather find a good deal on Bilsteins.

    Another silver B6

personally ide go with H&R. im supprised there are so few people on here that run their coilovers. their springs are an amazingly comfortable drive so i expect the coilovers to be about the same (depending on ride hieght of course.

I have Eibach and cant complain at all. They are all the way down and I have absolutely no extreme bouncing and it drives great through bouncy roads.

If you have really bad roads, I'll tell you right now that a stiffer lowered suspension just isn't comfortable at all. I have Konis (Stasis) and most roads I drive on are nice so the suspension feels just a tad stiffer than stock sport. However any road with a lot of bumps, broken pavement, pot holes, ect...the ride is bad. It's just a fact of life when you have a stiffer lowered suspension. So while I can drive around many areas and the car feels perfectly smooth, on really bad roads the ride is almost unbearable.

I know it wont be comfortable to use any lowered suspension on bad roads I have done it before but I want to know if I should get the ebach or the konis am kind of leaning towards the konis but wanted to get an opinion to see if anyone here has had a ride on both to see whats more comfortable or softer. Also were I can buy them for the lowest price

Supposedly Koni's/Stasis are one of the softer rides, and that is why I went with them. I am just now getting ready to throw them on, so I can't personally verify that claim. However, I can tell you I got mine on sale from Achtuning.com for $1,039.

they are on the softer side. Which for many people is ideal.

it seems to depend on the particular kit, but several of the cars i have ridden in with H&R coils have been over-damped.

Yeah, the Stasis Streetsports are a good blend of sportiness while still retaining a nice ride quality...its probably why so many people choose them. I have a few sets I'm trying to clear out ASAP (I need more room for incoming inventory)...drop me a PM/email if you're interested.
